The Indian government has decided to evacuate its citizens from Israel due to the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel. As part of this effort, Indian nationals in Israel will be facilitated to travel to India through land borders and then by air.
Operation Sindhu
This evacuation operation is an extension of “Operation Sindhu,” which was initially launched to evacuate Indian citizens from Iran. Under this operation, over 1,713 Indian nationals have already been repatriated from Iran, with several flights scheduled to bring back the remaining citizens.

Evacuation Efforts
– *Land Border Evacuations*: Indian nationals in Israel are being evacuated through land borders into Jordan, from where they will be flown back to India. Over 162 Indian nationals have already crossed into Jordan, and arrangements are underway to fly them back to India within the next 48 hours.
– *Flight Evacuations*: Multiple evacuation flights have been operated from Iran, with the latest flight carrying 285 evacuees from Mashhad landing in New Delhi.
– *Registration*: The Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has urged all nationals to register immediately to facilitate the evacuation process.
Government Priorities
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has confirmed that the safety and security of Indian nationals abroad are of the highest priority. The government is working closely with the embassies and consulates to ensure a swift and safe return of its citizens.
