The bimonthly SAMIKSHA, the first venture of SAMIKSHA Media in Canada launched

Rajan Sawhney. minister for "Community and Social Services" on Saturday, October 17th, launched the bi-monthly Samiksha, the first initiative of Samiksha Media in Canada.

The Minister also wished the Samiksha every Magazine success in upholding the ideals of unity, diversity, acceptance, and partnership as a magazine with a multicultural outlook and values. Alberta Premier Jason Kenny’s congratulatory message was broadcasted on the occasion. In his congratulatory message, the Premier congratulated the members of the Samiksha media team who started this new venture, even during the difficult times of COVID-19. The Premier hoped that Samiksha would be able to uphold Canadian values of cultural diversity and unity in diversity. Mr.Noble Augustine, editor-in-chief of Samiksha Magazine, received the first copy.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Jacob Antony, Circulation Director of Samiksha Media. He said the magazine would feature articles by prominent Canadian writers writing in English and Malayalam and would provide space for children and young people to express their thoughts. He also requested that all support be given to the Samiksha magazine, which has a presence in thirty major cities in all provinces of Canada. The welcome address was given by Mr.Rijesh Peter, Creative Director of Samiksha Magazine. The video messages of Kerala Public Works Minister G Sudhakaran, Former Kerala Chief Minister Mr.Oommen Chandy, Leader of the Opposition Kerala State, Mr.Ramesh Chennithala, Sufi and Sujatha Fame Mr.Dev Mohan, Padma Vibhushan Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Mr.Pannyan Raveendran, MP, Mr. P S Sreedharan Pillai, Governor of Mizoram, Writer Dr. George Onakkoor and representatives of various Malayalee organizations in Canada were broadcasted at the function. Mr. Josekutty Chooravadi, Secretary, Toronto Malayalee Society; Mr. Manoj Idamana, President, Niagara Malayalee Association; Mr. Karan Menon, President of the Malayalee Cultural Association, Mr. Joseph John, President of the Alberta Chapter of the Indo-American Press Club, Mrs. Rajammal Ram, Secretary of the Canadian Kerala Cultural Association and Mrs. Anne George, President of the Kerala Nurses Association of British Columbia conveyed their greetings. Director of Finance Joseph Kurian expressed gratitude. Samiksha Media Marketing Director Roy Devasya virtually attended the launch.
