Nationwide Celebrations
Rallies marked by dancing, music, and the waving of pre-revolutionary Iranian flags have erupted in several cities:
  • Richmond Hill, ON: An estimated 40,000 to 45,000 people gathered on Yonge Street. Despite the jubilant atmosphere, a local boxing gym owned by an Iranian activist was targeted in a shooting early Sunday morning.

 

 

  • Vancouver, BC: Thousands filled David Lam Park, with many attendees expressing “euphoria” and relief for family members still in Iran.
