Legato Strings Celebrates Successful Debut and Christmas Concert with Music4Life Orchestra
Ajax, ON – Legato Strings marked two milestone performances this season through its partnership with Music4Life Orchestra, celebrating the power of music education in building community connections.

On November 29, 2025, Legato Strings made its orchestral debut in a collaborative performance with Music4Life Orchestra, showcasing months of dedicated training and rehearsal. The successful debut highlighted the organization’s growth and commitment to excellence in music education.
The celebrations continued on December 19, 2025, with the Legato Christmas Concert at St. Francis Centre for Culture and Arts in Ajax. The evening featured young musicians performing classical repertoire, holiday favourites, and cultural pieces that reflected the community’s rich diversity, culminating in a joint performance with Music4Life Orchestra’s professional ensemble.
Founded by Bijo Sebastian in 2019, Legato Strings emerged from a grassroots vision to make quality music education accessible to newcomer families in Canada. Using the renowned Suzuki method, Legato creates an environment where children learn music through the same natural process they learn language.
“These performances represent more than musical achievement – they demonstrate how music builds bridges across cultures and creates lasting community connections,” says Bijo Sebastian, founder of Legato Strings.
The partnership with Music4Life Orchestra, founded by Sheri Ferko, brings professional musicians and young students together in a powerful mentorship model, expanding opportunities while strengthening community bonds through music.

Both events received generous support from community sponsors, including Jobish Baby (Realtor), Dr. Atley George, John Star Construction, Canadian Skills Development Centre, and Endless Fun Ajax.
