The Syro Malabar Eparchy of Mississauga marked a significant milestone recently, concluding its decennial year with a grand ceremony attended by His Beatitude Mar Raphael Thattil, the Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church. The event was a testament to the growth and resilience of the Syro-Malabar Catholic community in Canada.

Established on August 6, 2015, by Pope Francis, the Eparchy of Mississauga has made tremendous strides in serving the spiritual needs of Syro-Malabar Catholics across Canada. With over 50,000 Catholics and 72 parishes, the Eparchy has become a beacon of faith and community for the Syro-Malabar diaspora.

The conclusion ceremony was marked with great fervor and enthusiasm, featuring a mega event, “Sargasandhya 2025,” which included a Musical Bible Drama, “The Eternity,” and a Broadway-style English Musical Drama, “The Redemption.” These performances showcased the talent and creativity of the Syro-Malabar community in Canada.
