A devastating road accident in the United States has claimed the lives of a family of four from Hyderabad, India. The victims, identified as Venkat Bejugam (also known as Sri Venkat), his wife Tejaswini Cholleti, and their two children, Siddarth and Mrida, were involved in a fatal car crash on July 6, 2025, in Greene County, near Dallas, Texas.
Details of the Accident
The family was driving back to Dallas after spending a week with relatives in Atlanta when a mini-truck traveling on the wrong side of the road collided head-on with their SUV. The impact caused the car’s fuel tank to rupture, leading to a massive fire that engulfed the vehicle, trapping all four family members inside. Despite efforts by emergency responders, the family members were burnt beyond recognition.
Investigation and Identification
Authorities are currently conducting DNA and dental record tests to confirm the identities of the victims. Once confirmed, the remains will be repatriated to India for final rites. The family had been living in Sutton Fields, Aubrey, near Dallas.
