The Knights of Columbus, a global Catholic fraternal organization known for its charitable work and community service, held its District Deputies’ Training event from July 11-13, 2025, at the Holiday Inn & Suites Hotel in Red Deer County, Alberta. The event brought together current and newly appointed District Deputies from across Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
The training began on Friday, July 11, with team-building exercises and socializing. On Saturday, July 12, the agenda included an Opening Prayer, workshops on membership, insurance, and faith in action programs, and a Holy Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The participants also attended a banquet sponsored by the State Council, where new state board members and District Deputies for the 2025-2026 Columbian year were installed.

On Sunday, July 13, the sessions covered reporting and state council requirements, followed by an open discussion, wrap-up videos, and a presentation by Regional Growth Director Dale Hofer on the impact of District Deputies. The event emphasized the Knights of Columbus’ commitment to unity and service, with the theme “Bound Together in Brotherhood.” The Alberta and NWT State Council successfully installed new State Board Members and District Council for the Columbian Year 2025-2026. The event highlighted the importance of teamwork and collaboration among Knights of Columbus members in Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
