Emma Watson, known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, has been banned from driving for six months. She was caught speeding at 38mph in a 30mph zone in Oxford last year. The 35-year-old actress already had nine points on her license, and this latest offense added three more points, resulting in an automatic six-month driving ban.
Watson was fined £1,044, which includes a £660 fine, £264 victim surcharge, and £120 court costs. Her lawyer stated that she’s a student and able to pay the fine. Interestingly, Watson is currently pursuing a master’s degree in creative writing at the University of Oxford.

This isn’t the only case of a Harry Potter star getting in trouble for speeding. Zoe Wanamaker, who played Madam Hooch, was also banned from driving for six months and fined £1,044 for speeding on the M4 in Newbury, Berkshire.
