Houston: The General Body of the IAPC Houston Chapter, comprised of Indian descent journalists and media persons working across North America, has met at Stafford Banquet Hall in Stafford City, Houston, since 2014, and announced the new Office Bearers for the period 2026-27.
Roy Thomas, Theodical (President), Thomas Korattiyil (Vice President), Dr. Sam Chacko (Secretary), Sreejith Sreedharan (Treasurer), and Mathew Joseph (Joint Secretary).
The Chapter Advisory Board has been reconstituted with John Varugese Powathikunnel as Chairman, along with Joji Joseph, Sangetha Dua Kataria, and Dr. Darsana Manayath Sasi as Members of the Advisory Board.
Roy Thomas, Theodical, is a multi-talented person known for his writings, poetry, and acting in various dramas. He previously served as Secretary and President of the IAPC Houston chapter. He is also a member of the Kerala Writers Forum, Houston, and has won medals in volleyball competitions in 2025 and 2026.


Thomas Korattiyil has been writing since college. He has worked as a local news reporter for leading Malayalam newspapers Deepika and Malayala Manorama. He published his first article in Apnades in 1980.
Dr. Sam Chacko is a business growth and operations leader with over 20 years of experience in maritime transportation. He holds a Ph.D. in International Business Management. He actively participates and holds leadership roles in church and community fellowships, is a skilled debater, and conducts seminars and presentations. He is an effective writer whose works inspire and motivate audiences of all ages.
Sreejith Sreedharan has lived in the Greater Houston Area for the past 15 years. He works as an engineer for Managed Network Services at a corporate company. During college, he served as association secretary for a year and contributed articles to various publications. He is also active with MAGH, KHNA, MAS, and the Sree Guruvayoorappan Temple of Greater Houston.
Adv. Mathew Joseph, a law graduate from Bangalore University, relocated to the United States from Kuwait just before the COVID-19 pandemic. He served as Joint Secretary of the Hirange Malayalee Association of the Tri-State area and was a Trustee with the Forum of Malayalee Lawyers in Kuwait.
The Indo American Press Club (IAPC) is a rapidly growing network of print, visual, online, and electronic media journalists and media professionals of Indian origin working in the United States, Canada, and Europe. IAPC is dedicated to improving the working conditions of its journalists, facilitating idea exchange, and providing educational and training opportunities for members, aspiring young journalists, and media professionals worldwide. It also honours media personnel for their excellence and positive contributions to the community.
